Speleothem Research Group
The Speleothem Research Group was formed in september 2009 and is conducted by Juniorprof. Dr. Denis Scholz.
The main goal of the Research Group is the reconstruction of past climate variability. As a paleoclimate archive secondary carbonates from caves, Speleothems, are used. These Speleothems consists mainly in the form of stalagmites, stalagtites or flowstones.
