  • Biomineralization in microalgae
  • Formation and control of calcium carbonate and purine crystals, as well as silicate and cellulose
  • Characterization of metastable phases and their transformations (e.g., amorphous calcium carbonate = ACC)
  • Influence of biological and chemical environmental factors on mineral formation
